Boerhaave's syndrome (BS) corresponds to a longitudinal esophageal rupture sometimes vomiting-induced, whcih may lead to bacterial mediastinitis, pneumothorax and/or empyema. BS manifests with mediothoracic chest pain and extraesopageal air on imaging.
