De novo chronic, progressive or acute LV dysfunction/failure. May result from myocarditis or eosinophilic myocarditis. May cause congestive heart failure and/or pulmonary edema (see under II). Hypertension may be present. Symptoms range from worsening of preexisting LVF to acute cardiogenic pulmonary edema, shock or cardiopulmonary arrest.
